FFG-1 Monitor Class Semi-Submersible Frigate
The Monitor is a semi-submersible frigate suitable for deep water and littoral combat missions. Since a large percentage of it's hull is underwater, it is less vulnerable to sea-skimming missiles and air attacks.
Power Plant 2 Diesel-Electric Generators and Fuel Cell powering 1 Submersible Turbine and 2 controllable-reversible pitch propellers
Aircraft 2 helicopters on flight deck (no hangar)
Weapons
(2) 112mm lightweight guns
(8) 700mm torpedo tubes
up to (4) 20-30mm CIWS (specify number and caliber)
(16) Harpoon or RAM missiles in armored box launchers
(18) Hatchet or Battle Axe cruise missiles in VLS
(56) VLS cells for SM-2 SA-101, Harpoon or Tomahawks
Speed: 35+ kts
Price: $750 million

FFG-5 Rooster ClassMulti-Role Frigate
The Rooster Class is a frigate designed primarily to take on the ASW role, however it includes a diverse weapons package enabling it to take on everything from 2 men in a speed boat to multi-million dollar attack aircraft.
In its sub-hunting configuration the Rooster can carry up to 4 ASW helicopters, fires gun launched depth charges, tube launched torpedoes or high speed ASROC's. In the anti-air role the Rooster can carry 96 surface to air missiles, and can co-ordinate with an AEGIS equipped vessel for maximum force protection. Even when equipped for a specific mission the rooster maintains the ability to attack surface, submerged and airborne threats making an obvious choice for a multi-role frigate.
Power Plant 4 Diesel-Electric Generators with Fuel Cell/battery backup powering 2 controllable-reversible pitch props and 2 bow thrusters
Aircraft 2 helicopters on flight deck (+1 in hangar)
Weapons
(1) 112mm lightweight gun
(2) 700mm torpedo tubes
up to (4) 20-30mm CIWS (specify number and caliber)
(2) 15.5mm crew served machine guns
(16) Harpoon or RAM missiles in armored box launchers
(18) Hatchet or Battle Axe cruise missiles in forward VLS (or 36 SM-2)
(36) SM-2, SA-101, SM-7 or other AA Missiles
(8) SM-2 or ASROC in RAM launchers
Speed: 35 kts
Price: $600 million
