The Superpower of The Phoenix Milita[/size] "Lo Que Sea, Cuando Sea, Donde Sea."<Current Status> UN Category: Father Knows Best State Civil Rights:Below Average Economy:All-Consuming Political Freedoms:Rare Location: United States of America >>>>>>>>The Superpower of The Phoenix Milita is a massive, economically powerful nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 5.709 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator(Field Marshall Maximus Seville II), who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up. It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 60%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Uranium Mining. Space shuttles regularly launch rubbish into space, religious organizations are being forced to leave the country or pay income taxes like everybody else, pharmacies close down as medicinal drugs are sold freely by the government, and military service is compulsory. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The Phoenix Milita's national animal is the red fox, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the shell casing.

Flag description: A black phoenix emblazend on a red background Economy TPM Top of Page Economy - overview:
TPM has one of the largest and most technologically powerful economy in the world, with a per capita GDP of 29,055.83. In this market-oriented economy, private individuals and business firms make most of the decisions, and the federal and state governments buy needed goods and services predominantly in the private marketplace. TPM business firms enjoy considerably greater flexibility than their counterparts in Western Europe and Japan in decisions to expand capital plant, to lay off surplus workers, and to develop new products. At the same time, they face higher barriers to entry in their rivals' home markets than the barriers to entry of foreign firms in TPM markets. TPM firms are at or near the forefront in technological advances, especially in computers and in medical, aerospace, and military equipment. The onrush of technology largely explains the gradual development of a "two-tier labor market" in which those at the bottom lack the education and the professional/technical skills of those at the top and, more and more, fail to get comparable pay raises, health insurance coverage, and other benefits. The year 2001 saw the end of boom psychology and performance, with output increasing only 0.3% and unemployment and business failures rising substantially. Moderate recovery took place in 2002 with the GDP growth rate rising to 2.4%. A major short-term problem in first half 2002 was a sharp decline in the stock market, fueled in part by the exposure of dubious accounting practices in some major corporations. The war in March/April 2003 between a TPM-led coalition and Islamaisbad shifted resources to the military. In 2003, growth in output and productivity and the recovery of the stock market to above 10,000 for the Stock Industrial Average were promising signs. Unemployment stayed at the 6% level, however, and began to decline only at the end of the year. Long-term problems include inadequate investment in economic infrastructure, rapidly rising medical and pension costs of an aging population, sizable trade and budget deficits, and stagnation of family income in the lower economic groups. National Anthem (Changes frequently) Gen'rals gathered in their masses, Just like witches at black masses Evil minds that plot destruction, Sorcerer of death's construction In the fields the bodies burning, As the war machine keeps turning Death and hatred to mankind, Poisoning their brainwashed minds Oh Lord Yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away They only started the war Why should they go out to fight? They leave thier role to the poor, yeah
Time will tell on their power minds, Making war just for fun Treating people just like pawns in chess, Wait 'till their judgement day comes, yeah
Now in darkness world stops turning, Ashes where the bodies burning No more War Pigs have the power, And as God has struck the hour Day of judgement, God is calling On their knees the war pigs crawling, Begging mercies for their sins Satan, laughing, spreads his wings Oh Lord Yeah!

Field Marshall Maximus Seville IIHead of State Age: 42 Height: 6' Weight: 225 lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Maximus Seville joined the Army when he was 17 years old, against the advice of his father, who wanted him to join the Air Force or Navy as a pilot. Max would have none of that, he was a mountain man at heart, more at home in the woods of Georgia or the mountains of New Mexico than out on a ship or stuck in some airbase. He Served in about 4 major conflicts as a paratrooper and was selected for Special Forces training at age 25. After a number of successful missions he unknowingly participated in an assault on an unarmed convoy. The convoy was carrying food and medical supplies, not Sarin gas as was reported by the foreign agents. This debacle stained his otherwise flawless military record. He was reduced in rank from Master Sgt. to Sergeant, and ejected from Special Forces. After fulfilling the rest of his enlistment in the active Army, he left the Army and joined his local Milita, based in Roswell, New Mexico. Little did he know, The Phoenix Milita would be engaged in a massive war just 5 months later. The scope of the conflict with a terrorist nation, in which several nations aligned with TPM had to be called upon, required TPM to deploy over 60% of the Militias and reserve units. Successfully leading his platoon on several assaults, he was field promoted from Platoon SGT. to Platoon Leader and given a field commission of 1st Lieutenant. After the war, he decided to transfer out of Infantry and try his hand at Army aviation. He was accepted for training and was assigned to the 55th Militia Air Wing, which operated A-10s. After flying A-10s for two years, and towards the end some A-17s, his father ordered him transfered to his staff and promoted him from Captain to Colonel, despite objections throughout the military and Max himself.. He was commander of the security forces in the mountain complex which his father was conducting (and losing) his foolish, "war against the world". To Maximus' horror, the forces which he commanded were completely wiped out when his father detonated a multi-megaton nuclear device, rather than allow joint forces to overcome and capture or kill TPM and allied units. Maximus Seville earned his current position by shooting his father in the back of the neck with a .357 Medusa. Today he rules the citizens of TPM with a fair but firm hand, granting the populace the freedom to lead their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up, and has full support of the military and most of the citizens (Partially through choice and partially because dissenters tend to vanish from there homes in the middle of the night...) Maximus is wanted for approximately 120 crimes by Tyrador and "The Free and Legitimate government of TPM" He views both "governments" as terrorist organizations. Other information Maximus Seville is an avid hunter and a qualified pilot. He also spends what little free time he has looking after his large collections of knives, guns, cars, airplanes, and of course women. He has at least 7 children but he does not reveal who the mothers are. He has had children with at least two of his wives that he acknowledges but is estimated to have at least 7 other children. Known Relatives: Anthony Seville Brother Phoenix Seville Half Brother Veronica Seville Primary Wife Jennifer Peterson Second Wife Georgie Peterson Mistress? Nicole Morita Assumed to be a Mistress Dante Seville Son (11 yrs old) Belinda Seville Daughter Caprice Seville Daughter William Seville Cousin John PiazzaLeader of the Senate Age: 59 Height: 5'11" Weight: 190 lbs Hair: Brow/Grey Eyes: Brown Elected some time before Seville the first was killed, Piazza is still one of the new Field Marshall's most trusted advisors, since he has experience at almost every level of government. General Nicole Morita National Security Advisor/Head of Intelligence Agencies Age: 34 Height: 5'8" Weight: 138 lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: Blue The closest thing to a second in command there is in TPM, CommanderBrigadier General Morita is entrusted with the combined information from all spies, intelligence operatives, ambassadors, reconnaissance and the like. She reports intel status daily, and it is rumored she does this from the lap of the Field Marshall... and answers only to Seville himself. She was one of the only child-students from the G-corp Military academy who did not go insane after returning. Fleet Admiral David VrelckAdmiral of The Navy Age: 56 Height: 6'1 Weight: 190 lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Black A Tyradorian Admiral who crossed over during the war, Vrelck is an old submariner with the tenacity of a Navy SEAL. The most capable admiral in the fleet, Vrelck even has a battle cruiser named after him. He has never lost a battle which he commanded. General Jonathan StubbsGeneral Of The Army Age: 49 Height: 6' Weight: 230 lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Brown "Let the blood of the Infantry flow through your veins, or the blood of the Infantry will be on your hands."Sky Marshall William SevilleGeneral Of The Air Force Age: 46 Height: 5'11" Weight: 195 lbs Hair: Light Brown Eyes: Brown In the war of independence, William Seville (a distant cousin of Maximus) was just a 17 year old farmboy, after his crop duster (which he modified to drop leaflets) was shot down by small arms fire, he was captured. Days later TPM forces liberated him, and made him a fighter pilot. 25 confirmed kills later, he finished the war as the top ace, and rose through the ranks of the newly formed air force quickly, making general by age 29. Marshall Arcturus Walker III Head of War Dept. Age: 40 Height: 7' Weight: 300 lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Red(contacts) Special Forces background, ex- body guard of the former Head of the War Dept. Gained his current position by ripping the esophagus from the neck of his predecessor, with his bare hands.... Let's just say you wouldn't want to be alone on an elevator with him... "I am a Death Dealer, Destroyer of Nations, Shatterer of Worlds.... I don't pay for parking!!" Jennifer PetersonHead of the Energy and Economic Dept. Age: 37 Height: 5'7" Weight:124lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: Green Caused quite a stir upon her appointment, on the grounds that she had no prior governmental experience and the only qualifications for the post came from a failed 2 year attempt at college, majoring in accounting... There are also many rumors that she was only appointed due to alleged current or past romantic ties with Field Marshall Seville. ----other---- Georgie PetersonTop Newscaster, (Secretly Governmental Head of Propaganda) Age: 37 Height: 5'7" Weight: 125lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: Blue The twin sister of Head of the Energy and Economic Dept, Georgie Peterson was recruited by the new government after already advancing to the position of evening anchorwoman on Phoenix Milita World News Channel 69. She is also rumored to be romantically involved with the Field Marshall.
